Having always wanted to own a blue merle Border Collie, I was looking at the puppy notices on dogzonline and noticed an advert for a litter in Tassie with a couple of blue merles in the photo. After putting it off, I finally contacted Melinda about the litter and there was one blue merle boy available. He was only about 2 weeks old at the time & I was sent up piccies of him & he was just gorgeous, classically marked and a little boofer. Done...he was mine.
Each week, I eagerly awaited updated pics of him as he grew & waited for him to turn 8 weeks so he could fly up here. My hubby & I tossed around 100's of names and eventually decided on Punter, my hubby is a cricket tragic and the Aussie Cricket Captain was from Tassie too and his nickname is Punter. When I arrived at the airport to pick Punter up, it was like getting a present, although I knew what he looked like, seeing him in the fluff for the first time was awesome. Took a bit of convincing to get him out of the crate but once out, he locked eyes on me and bestowed me with lots of kisses and still remains a mummies boy. I already owned 2 female black & white border collies and he quickly won them over when he met them for the first time.Being an agility competitor and judge, Punter was destined for the agility arena like my other BCs and started his basic agility training from a young age with lots of passion and gusto, esp for the tunnels his all time fave and remain so. He started competing in May 2009 at 18 months of age and is great fun to run, challenging too as we work on getting our teamwork and timing right. He has great drive and distance skills and when we get our teamwork right on the day and qualify, we normally place.
In 2010, he attended his first National Agility event when we flew to Perth and he performed very well placing in 2 of the heats and qualifying for 2 final events and putting his best paw forward in both considering he is still very much a baby in agility at 2 years old.
We will be working towards some obedience titles soon and have also been dabbling in sheep herding and he shows lovely style and balance when working sheep.
Overall Punny as he is also known as, is just a gorgeous smoochy lad with an equally gorgeous temperament and wins hearts over wherever he goes. He has a lovely strong build but is very soft and all his training is done using positive reward based methods and he is a quick learner. When we aren't doing agility, he loves pats and cuddles, loves diving in the dam, swimming, playing with his doggy mates, playing with his toys and hooning around chasing my girls. In 2009, Punter became a dad for the first time to my girl Jorja and I have kept a blue merle girl Fern who has many of her dads mannerisms, happy temperament and zest for life and will be following in her mum and dads pawprints into the agility arena too.

Borregoperro Move A Lil Closer aka Nova is currently doing puppy pre-school and is doing really well. He is a very quick learner and at 10 weeks of age he can sit, drop, shake hands (or paws in his case! Lol), roll over and is currently learning to play dead. After puppy pre-school Nova will be doing obedience classes and hopefully after that and when he is old enough, agility. Nova is very friendly and loving, full of energy and gets along well with all people, dogs and puppies. He has a great personality and keeps us entertained for hours! He is an absolute joy and very a welcome addition to our family. Cheers Tammy Tasmania

This is our beautiful girl Jess, she is the best family member and gives the most loving cuddles every day, we live on property and Jess's past time is to go swimming in the dam at least two times a day regardless of the weather, she looks at you for your approval, you give her the nod then she is in and loves a big swim. we go training every Sunday and at 10 months we are already in grade 2 and working towards agility and fly ball. she loves to travel in the car and smiling at other people at the traffic lights or passing cars, she just sits there and puts the big look at me face on. she also loves to visit my family and is always on her best behaviour around the children. we are constantly asked by people where she came from as she has the sweetest eyes, nature and loves any attention. She has been the best purchase of our lives and would be lost with out her. we will keep you updated with new achievements and lots more growing up photos

Royce has settled into the Morgan family so well, he is growing very quickly. He is great with the children and they love him to bits!! Still have a way to go with toilet training etc. We started puppy school last night, he was a bit shy to start with but relaxed after a while. I will send some photos when I get a chance to down load them. We are so happy with Royce and again thank you for all your help and on going support
Cheers,

We sadly lost our 15yr old Border Collie at Xmas 2007 and then decided we could not live without a dog. We searched everywhere and no-one had a Border Collie, then we looked at Dogzonline for a last effort at trying to mend our broken hearts. There was one male left in Sandford, what a coincidence we live at Sandford. so off we went to just have a look. We fell in love with him instantly and he has become the love of our lives!! Beau goes everywhere with me and walks everyday for at least 45mins, doesn't matter where we go everyone always comments on his good looks. People always ask where we got him from, he's an absolute delight to have around.
We unlike others (who want to show etc) just wanted a faithful. loyal companion to love. He fits the bill perfectly, he is great with everyone, likes horses and gets along well with other dogs. He is very active and loves the dam, where he also swims everyday no matter the weather, but then when we want to have a lie around in the sun or in the warm when its very cold in Tassie he's happy to loll about and have a cuddle. He is also very family orientated and is a wonderful guard dog, which is great if you live somewhere which is isolated. I always feel safe with him around as he seems to be a very good judge of human character. Loves anyone nice and is very wary of the not nice people in society (see extemely clever).
We have not had him desexed as he hope to find him a friend one day, and then I can have Border babies when my own kids have left home.
We can thoroughly recommend his breeding as we met Mum (Mia) and Dad (Dare) and they were delightful dogs too, that we fell in love with and hoped our puppy would grow up to be as gorgeous as them, we have not had one minute of disappointment since he arrived home. He learns things quickly and is the BEST FRIEND out.

Keiko has grown up very fast, she is a beautiful happy dog who loves to run and chase the ball.
We think sometimes she thinks she is a lap dog as we could be sitting down and Keiko jumps up and sits on our lap. Keiko is a lovely happy dog who has trained very well. Keiko has settled in to our home and is now one of the family.

Joe is almost ten months old. He is a very handsome dog and is very lively! He has always been very well behaved and easy to train! Hopefully if time permits we will be starting him with some agility lessons this year as I think he would do marvelous and he just loves to be learning new things and jumping around! He loves his sister Bonnie who is also a border collie and he likes to copy everything she does! He has just been a delight since the moment I brought him home and everyone adores him. His favourite thing to do is go swimming, which is perfect as we live by the beach!!

Borregoperro Moving North - aka : Ace I had always loved blue merle border collies, and always hoped that one day i would own a blue merle tri border collie, after looking at a few from the mainland i did a quick search (not expecting to find anything!) in Tasmania. low and behold i found Borregoperro! i emailed Melinda and gave her a call "placing an order" for a blue merle male (knowing that a blue merle tri was probably out of reach!) from her next litter which was conveiniently due to be picked up on the day of my birthday!! A few weeks later i got an email saying that the puppys from Heidis and Dare's litter had been born and that there was a little merle male for me. I remember the first picture i got of him at only a couple days old, and hoping to myself that when his eyes open that one would be blue! I watched him grow in pictures as he got fluffy, and went to visit him at four weeks, wishing i could have taken him home that day! he would have fitted in my jumper pocket perfectly! when Melinda told me he would probably keep his ice blue eye my heart skipped a beat. Waiting the next four weeks was exciting and seemed to last for ever! but when the day finally came for me to go and pick him up we left Launceston at 7.30 am, he sat on my lap the whole way home and ill never forget his puppy breath smell everytime he licked my chin. Since arriving home he has become my bestfriend, he never leaves my side, and I know no matter how crappy my day has been, he always brings a smile to my face! he is a very fast learner and has taken to puppy training really well and he was completely toilet trained 2 weeks after coming home. I hope to do agility and fly ball in the future and i know ace will take to these with the same love and pleasing nature he does everything! After watching him change color over the last few weeks i decided i would send Melinda a couple photos of his color change, my special little boy became even more special by becoming Dares first blue merle tri progeny. I now have my dream puppy, who has an even more dreamier temperament, he knows when its time to settle down and when its time to have fun and play or go for a walk! even my partner who pretends to be tough was found curled up in bed with Ace snuggled next to him! I have nothing but good things to say about Borregoperro Border Collies, Melinda has been absoulutly wonderful to me, and i find myself very priveledged to say that i own one of her gorgeous puppies. and when the time comes for another dog, it will be a Borregoperro Border Collie.

As for Bella well we have graduated from puppy pre school with flying colours (very biased view of course). It was great to see Bella interact with all the other dogs who were much bigger than her of course. The class was made up of Labradors, Retrievers and Pointers - Bella was the only Border in the class. She did really well interacting and eventually playing with the other pups. It was a pleasure to have a pup who only requires instructions once..... We intend to take Bella to basic dog obedience when she turns 4 months.
We are currently in the holding pattern as Bella gets vaccinated next week with her Heart worm prevention then all systems go run, beach etc. Bella loves the car. She goes for drives with the girls to their school but stays in the car of course. Bella has socialised really well with children and adults. We have been walking on the lead in the yard and does really well.
Overall we are really pleased with Bella and are really looking forward to the next stage. The girls just adore her and vice versa. Bella loves being inside but is happiest outside running amuck in the yard which suits us all.
Once again thank you for all your help with getting Bella to us.

Hi Melinda,
Carter is doing well. For the smallest in the litter he has made up for it with strength, attitude and doing things his way.
He loves the bush and Mike took him woodcutting with him. As he is not afraid of the chainsaw he tied him to a tree with a length of rope but he soon chewed through that.
He loves the car and goes everywhere with us. He falls asleep as soon as we leave and never makes a noise. He is totally fearless and when we took him for a walk up to our dam he was soon down the side to discover the water. We picked him up quickly before we had a chance to find whether he could swim on not.
He is a huge part of our life and I wouldn't sell him for a million dollars.
Regards,
Sue and Mike Grierson Tasmania

...... We highly recommend getting a Borregoperro Border Collie ...
Words just can’t describe how beautifully perfect our Borregoperro Border Collie is...
Early 2009 my Husband and I decided to look for a chocolate and white Border Collie as an addition to our family. We were keen to find a Border Collie that was hand reared and not bred for farm work. Searching on the net we came across Borregoperro and made contact with Melinda. She was extremely helpful and was quick to reply to our many emails. We were added to the list for one of Heidi and Dare’s pups due in October 09 and could hardly wait..
Due to a buyer default we noticed a chocolate Merle pup from Heidi & Dare’s August 09 litter for sale on the Borregoperro web site... He was totally adorable!!.. So we contacted Melinda and “Hide the key” was ours
J
. Melinda arranged everything from the vet checks and the transport to Sydney. All we had to do was met our new puppy at the airport and take him home!
We named “Hide the key” Duke. Since getting Duke we have had a baby girl... Duke took to her instantly and has been exceptional toward Lily. He is so gentle with her and I am positive they will become best of friends.
Duke has been to puppy school and passed with flying colours. He loves other dogs of all sizes and plays beautifully with them. Duke is very submissive rolling on his back during play and is never aggressive. Duke is attending dog training to get his ‘Good Citizen Award’ and we will be joining agility classes later this year. He is a natural at agility and loves working for rewards. Training his has been a breeze!
Duke is exceptionally lovely natured toward all children, people and dogs. He is growing into the most loyal, intelligent and exceptionally beautiful dog. People stop us all the time to ask about his breed and his beautiful markings!
Kind Regards, Mel, Ewan, Lily & Duke xxx

Hi Melinda, we just wanted to say thank you again for Dusty. He is
amazing! His markings are brilliant, and his colour is beautiful. It
looks like his eyes are going to be a nice light greeny-brown colour.
He has come out of his shell and he is a little ball of energy. We
couldn't be happier! If we decide to get another dog we will definitely
be getting it through you, you were fantastic, and your puppies are
just perfect, every single one of them. We hope you are enjoying the
pics that we have posted on your Facebook page, we will continue to
post them as he grows. So once again thank you!
